Any Shu officer willing would, once in Nan Zhong be able to get a task from the appointed task master in the city. This man knew all that was to be done around the city, and knew everything that went around among the people. Anyone could read the tasks described on the board and people interested needed to go the to task master and ask for the job before being allowed to go on this 'quest'.
-draft
An officer is needed to draft some troops from the streets and enlist them into the army. Nan Zhong has a climat a lot of people do not like, and the region is filled with strong young men. This should be the best place to start enlisting.
-water
because of the intense heat, water is wanted all over. But Meng Huo, leader of the Nan Man has rebuilt his troops and now commands a small army and is plaguing our water transports. This task wants you to defeat Meng Huo's forces and bring the water they stole back to the main cities of Nan Zhong.
-poison swamps
Even tough the locals know where these are, we don't. We need someone to go out and map the poison swamps so when our enemies attack, we will be able to outsmart them using these pits of doom.
-wood
As some of you might know, the wood that grows here is much lighter then the usual and would make great spears and arrows. Go out and bring us enough wood to make 1000 spears and 5000 arrows and bring these to Cheng Du. Watch out for Meng Huo and his gang of rogues who have been terrorizing the region.
An IMPORTANT NOTE hung on the board saying: "A disaster has struck Pei Cheng! Anyone who can offer help, go there now!"
